Building Services Manager

Salary:  Grade 3, Point 9-22

£27,254 to £33,699

Hours:    36.5 hours per week (all year round)

09:45am 17:30pm (some flexibility)

(split shifts may be occasionally required to cover annual leave)

Are you a proactive and skilled facilities professional with a passion for creating safe, clean, and welcoming environments? Lindsworth School is seeking a dedicated Building Services Manager to join our team supporting the Site Manager with the day-to-day management of our school site, including maintenance, security, and cleaning services.

We are looking for a candidate who:

  • Has relevant qualifications (e.g. NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, NEBSS) and experience in caretaking, cleaning, and site management
  • Can lead and motivate a team, manage contractors, and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Is flexible, dependable, and able to respond to out-of-hours emergencies
  • Has effective communication and IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people

This is a full-time, all-year-round position (36.5 hours per week). The successful candidate will be subject to an enhanced DBS check and online security screening.

Lindsworth School is a mixed day/residential special school meeting the needs of 144 pupils, and rising, from Year 4 to Year 11 who have been assessed as having social, emotional, and mental health difficulties. Many of the pupils have medical diagnoses including ADHD, ASC, PTSD, PDA, ODD and Attachment Disorder. They have also experienced significant disruption to their education due to multiple school moves, fixed term and permanent exclusions and extended periods of part-time or no placement in a school.
