In GCSE Sociology pupils will study different parts of human society and their effects on culture, such as: how the family shapes our behaviour, why girls do better at school than boys, and why certain crimes are detected more than others.
Pupils will develop the skills to understand the relationships between individuals, groups, organisations and societies. Pupils will look at a range of topics that are designed to broaden their understanding of how the world works.
Examination is two 1 ½ hour exam each worth 50% of the total mark
